- Locate the key of the relay to confirm its connection to the TIPM of your Jeep.
- Put the hood up and remove the negative (black) cable.
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery from the negative terminal of the TIPM.
- Remove TIPM’s cap with a 14mm socket and ratchet, and don’t let the lead go into the TIPM with a 12mm wrench.
- Take off the two clips securing the TIPM to your vehicle using a small driver.
- Carefully unclip the TIPM from the Jeep using a screwdriver, and pull it out.
- You should mount the TIPM in the engine part and connect all the harnesses.
- Rotate them and secure them with clips. Slide the unit into the bracket and secure all clips by pushing them down.
- Replace the retaining nut and lead cable.
- Plug in the negative battery lead, and then install the TIPM hood.
- Now you will have to give the TIPM twelve seconds to program correctly by putting on the ignition.
